Simple Spanish Rice

Ingredients

2 cup long grain rice
1/2 cup of oil
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp garlic, minced
4 cups water
1 chicken flavored boullion cube or powder
2 dashs of cumin
2 dashs of garlic pepper

Directions

Step 1

  • Heat oil in large frying pan or pot on medium heat.
  • Add rice and cool until golden brown.

Step 2

  • Add the chicken boullion cube to the 4 cups of water and microwave for about 3 minutes.

If you are using powder, you can skip the microwave.

Step 3

  • When rice is brown, add water, tomato sauce, salt, garlic, cumin, and garlic pepper

Add water slowly as it will steam.

Step 4

  • Stir and cover the pan/pot.
  • Let simmer for up to 30-40 minutes.
